About the band
St. Andrew’s College Association (SACA) Pipe Band is a competition band open to adults and students, sponsored by St. Andrew’s College in Aurora, Ontario, since autumn 2019.
Competition debut
The band initially prepared to compete in June 2020, but the interruption of regular pipe band contests delayed its debut. It was assessed as Grade 2 in April 2022.
On June 11, 2022, SACA made its first public appearance at the Georgetown Highland Games in Ontario. Led by Pipe Major and piping program director Matt MacIsaac, the band finished second behind Peel Regional Police, ahead of Toronto Police and Ottawa Police Service.
Band member Henry Paluch, class of 2022, also received the Amateur Piper of the Day award.
