The 40th St Andrew’s Night Ceilidh takes place on Friday, November 6, 2026, from 7:30–11:45 pm CET, at VZ Döbling, Gatterburggasse 2a, 1190 Vienna.
Vienna Pipes and Drums hosts an evening of Scottish dancing and live music led by Sileas Sinclair BEM. Beginners are welcome: dances will be explained on the floor. Wear comfortable clothing; kilts and Highland dress are encouraged.
The ceilidh began in 1985 as a fundraiser for the Vienna International School Rugby Team and was organised for many years by Colin Campbell. The band now hosts it with Vienna Celtic Rugby Club, supporting the club’s youth teams and the band’s musical activities.
A cash bar offers drinks, snacks and Scotch whisky. The venue is accessible by public transport but is not wheelchair accessible. Door tickets are advertised at €35; consult the booking page for advance options and availability.
