Previous chieftain: 2026
Mark Brandmaier was named 2026 Chieftain of the Day, recognising more than 15 years of service to Dunedin’s Scottish arts community. His involvement includes supporting young musicians, assisting band trips, serving as a pipeband liaison and playing bass drum with the Grade 5 City of Dunedin Pipe Band. The foundation’s tribute honours the family’s connection to piping through his late daughter, Kailey.
