A festival showcasing traditional Irish music in the scenic town of Clifden, Connemara.

Clifden Traditional Music Festival 2025

Now in its 14th year, the festival has gone from strength to strength. Beginning on Thursday with a Youth Session, Youth is an important element of the festival.

Friday starts with Clifden National School Marching Band and continues in the evening with the Official Opening Concert and a lively Pub Session Trail.

Saturday is a busy day. Workshops start the day in a variety of instruments, and lots of events in the town culminate in a festive atmosphere. These include: A busking competition, a 5K Run/Walk, Street entertainment, Music on the town square as well as lively afternoon pub sessions.

Saturday Night is always a highlight, with an open air headline concert on Market Square. This year we have a Top Class act which will be announced shortly.

Saturday night sees the pub session trail continue with Sunday bringing the festival to a close with our Traditional Music Mass and our Farewell Session.
